I have been mainly training down in Florida through January and February with Russell Bobbitt and Paddy Holloway. We have been training all over Florida in places such as Croom, Pax Trax Mx and Bostwick, just to name a few.

I raced the first National Harescramble in Perry, GA on February 13 to try to get some racing in before the season kicks off. I got a good start and rode with Bobbitt

The Rekluse/AMA National Enduro series kicks off this weekend in Salley, South Carolina, where 600 off-roaders will take to the sandy trails in pursuit of the longest-running motorsports championship in the world. The first National Enduro title was awarded in 1923! Over the years, no one has been more successful in the national enduro series than Michael Lafferty, who will line up in South Carolina in hopes of winning a record ninth national title. The New Jersey native also has 68 national enduro wins to his credit, which easily tops Dick "King Richard" Burleson's count of 60 (Burleson also has eight national titles).

Don't Forget Your Spark Arrestor

 If you are getting ready for the Sandlapper or any other National Enduro in 2011, don't forget to have a USFS approved spark arrestor on your bike. It is a AMA rule that sometimes has not been enforced in the past, but in 2011 it will be mandatory. Certified technicians from Leo Vince will help the clubs check to make sure that you have one on your bike before and during the event. MX silencers with door screen over the end and the like will not be accepted. This is a very small thing to do to help keep the land we have to ride on, please help us.
