Bobbitt Places 2nd at Knuckle Buster National Enduro
Martinez Wins Women’s Class

Maplesville, AL – FMF KTM Factory rider Russell Bobbitt earned 2nd overall at the second round of the AMA National Enduro Championship Series while KTM privateer Steward Baylor rounded out the podium in 3rd. Bobbitt’s teammate, Kacy Martinez earned her first victory of the season in the Women’s Pro class while Charlie Mullins made his return from injury to finish 5th overall.

Mullins pulled off the fastest time in the first test section (which he also did at the opening round of the series), while Bobbitt finished 3rd fastest. The two teammates continued to earn top scores throughout the event. Bobbitt took the win in test two and test five and never fell outside of the top five throughout the event. He came up just 21 seconds short of the win. Steward Baylor was just 13 seconds back to take 3rd aboard his KTM.

“I kept it closer this weekend and am inching closer to a win,” stated Bobbitt. “I got a little stuck in the second test but still ended up coming up with the fast time but I feel like if I could have fixed a few mistakes I would be right there for the win.”

Mullins fell in the third test and lost some time which caused him to finish with the 7th fastest time. That was the only test he fell outside the top five in throughout the day. Unfortunately, time lost in that test dropped him out of podium reach.

“It felt really good to come back to racing today,” stated Mullins. “I was hoping to get on the podium but I will take a top five. My speed is there but I am working on minimizing the mistakes and getting my endurance back to 100%.”

Martinez rode strong all day to secure the win in the Women’s class by just under one minute. This was Martinez’ first win of the season and she is now tied for the points lead with fellow KTM rider Shawn Davidson.
