ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S THADDEUS DUVALL FINISHES 3RD AT THE NATIONAL ENDURO SEASON OPENER

The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Off-road team saw a new face for the 2017 season. Thad Duvall made his debut this weekend at Round 1 of the National Enduro which took place in Sumter, South Carolina. The weather was great for racing, with temperatures in the 60's. The course conditions were a mix of sand and hard-pack thrown into some new trails. It consisted of 6 loops that ranged from 8 miles up to 12 miles.
Thad Duvall not only made his team debut, but this opening round marked his first full season competing in the National Enduro Series aboard his 2017 FX 350. He finished the first test in 3rd place, and the next two in 5th and 6th place. From that point, he knew he had to put down a consistent and fast ride in order to finish on the podium. Duvall took the win in test 4 by 15 seconds. This moved him into 4th place with two tests to go. He continued to ride a focused race with no mistakes for the last tests, putting him in the 3rd place overall position.
"I am really happy with my performance this race for my Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team debut. Any time I am on the podium is a good day! I feel like I lived up to the hype of being under the factory semi." Said Thad Duvall.
Josh Strang came into this race still nursing a heel injury sustained at the 2016 ISDE. He is still experiencing some pain and stiffness in his heel but was able to complete the full day of racing. Strang was slowly able to improve throughout the first 4 tests. By test 5 and 6 however, his foot was getting the better of him He was able to power through at a finishing pace and finished 20th is the Pro Class.
