The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Off-road team continued their stay in Florida to race the Alligator National Enduro. In true Florida fashion, the terrain of the course was sandy with exposed roots. Tests one through four were mildly technical, but tests five and six proved to be tougher with a tighter route.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Thad Duvall charged off of the start and rode a consistent first test, finishing in 4th. The Florida sand didn't slow him down as he continued to pace himself for a 2nd place finish in test two. As test three commenced, racers struggled with course markers causing a lot of issues such as back-tracking, and being completely lost. Test 3 was therefore omitted, which unfortunately caused Duvall to slip back a couple positions. He rounded out the final two tests in 6th for an overall finish of 5th place for the race.
Josh Strang made his return after missing the last GNCC due to a previously sustained injury. He had a slow start to the day but as the tests continued, the team progressed with bike setup. This boost of comfort allowed Strang to finish out the day in 14th overall.
Josh Strang and Thad Duvall make their way to Sparta, Georgia next for GNCC round 3, taking place on March 26th.
