ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S THAD DUVALL CLAIMS THE WIN AT MUDDOBBERS NATIONAL ENDURO
The Muddobbers National Enduro took place this weekend in Matthews, Indiana where conditions were hot with high humidity. The course consisted of six tests through farmer’s fields with some tight wooded sections and three creek crossings. The dirt was nearly perfect for the riders throughout the day.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Thad Duvall got off to a slow start in the first 11-mile test. The course was rough and there was not much time to warm up before going into the test. He fell twice and didn’t have much flow in the test which would result in a 5th place finish. From there, Duvall regained time and momentum and rode to win the next three tests. The tight woods and creek crossings would prove to be an advantage for Duvall over the competitors as he set the fastest times throughout many of the tests. He finished the final two tests 2-1 for his fourth overall win in a row! This win places Duvall 16 points ahead of second place in the overall point’s standings.
“Taking my fourth win in a row is a huge boost in maintaining my confidence, especially right before I leave for the 2017 ISDE this coming week.” said an excited Thad Duvall.
Josh Strang started the race off finishing the first test in 7th place. He became more comfortable by the second test as he rode to a fourth place spot. Unfortunate mechanical issues would slow Strang from finding his groove in the tight trees and he would ultimately finish in 8th overall.
