KTM Riders Sweep the Overall Podium at the Dragons Back National Enduro

Round 4 - AMA National Enduro Championship - May 6, 2018

ARRINGTON,Va. – KTM riders made it a podium sweep on Sunday for Round 4 of the 2018 AMA National Enduro Championship in Arrington, Virginia. Tely Energy KTM's Grant Baylor rode to his first victory of the season, while his older brother and teammate, Steward Baylor, Jr., edged out FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Josh Toth by hundredths of a second to claim second-overall in an intense day of racing at the Dragons Back National Enduro.

Welcomed rainfall came down in the morning just before the start of the race, making for ideal conditions in the woods of Virginia. It was a close race between the top four riders all day and three different winners emerged through the six tests. Toth rode his FMF KTM Factory Racing 250 XC-F to a test-win in section three, where he maintained top-five finishes throughout the rest of the tests. Toth and S. Baylor came into the final test practically tied in overall time but a fourth-place finish in the final test gave Toth the third-place position, while reigning champion S. Baylor secured second overall behind his KTM-supported teammate Grant.

Toth“I had another good day today at the NEPG in Virginia. The conditions turned out to be perfect with some heavy rain just before the start. I felt like I had a lot of great moments throughout the day but I didn't feel like I ever had a test where I rode my best from start to finish. Regardless, I’m happy to be steadily learning and improving and I’m happy with the way the season is progressing so far. I can hear the top spot of the podium calling my name!”

Trail Jesters/KTM Racing's Ben Kelley secured a top-five finish at Round 4 with a consistent string of top-ten finishes. Kelley finished off the day strong with a pair of top-fives in the final two tests, giving him a slight advantage to maintain the fifth-place position overall.

Round 5: June 3 / Cherokee National Enduro / Greensboro, Georgia
