Round 2 - National Enduro Series - March 24, 2019

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Round 2 of the 2019 AMA National Enduro Series took place on Sunday in Ormond Beach, Florida for the Alligator Enduro. Tely Energy Racing/KTM’s Steward Baylor Jr. topped the overall podium, with Team Gnarly Routes KTM-mounted rider Russell Bobbitt in second. After two rounds, Baylor and Bobbitt each hold a race win as they sit tied in the early championship point standings.

For Baylor, it was a near perfect day of racing as he secured all six test-wins throughout the afternoon, dominating the competition in the soils of Florida aboard his KTM 450 XC-F.

Steward Baylor Jr.: “After starting the day with a test-win, I knew I was in a good spot and I just continued to edge the group out with a near-flawless ride. It was just one of those dream days where everything goes right all day.”

Bobbitt, the round one winner, finished second overall for the day with another solid ride aboard his KTM 300 XC. He maintained top-three test finishes for a majority of the day, with a top-five and a top-ten finish on his way to a consistent start to the 2019 season.

KTM-mounted rider Grant Baylor made his return to National Enduro racing for the first time since his shoulder surgery. Grant maintained a consistent pace all afternoon, keeping himself within the top-10 overall for most of the race, finishing fourth in the NE Pro1 class and seventh overall for the day.
