The Cherokee National Enduro is serving as Round 4 of the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series Presented by Moose Raing for 2019. A long time running enduro that is know to offer excellent single track in the northern Georgia Region. Last years winner was Grant Baylor. Grant will be looking to build off of his first win of 2019 in Louisiana and get on a roll moving forward. Brother Stu Baylor would love to have a say in that as he is leading in points just ahead of Russell Bobbitt. This is a local race for Russ and he will be looking to put the 300XC on the top step for a second time this season. You can never count out Evan Smith as he is riding well this year. Louisiana was the first race this season that he was not on the podium, you can bet he is itching for another podium finish in Georgia.
The NE Pro 2 Class has had 3 different winners this season in 3 races. This is an exciting class that is stacked with plenty of riders that can win at each Round. Zach Hayes took round 1 and on his KTM but recently signed a deal with Sherco and will be looking to give Sherco their first podium of 2019. Round 2 was won by Tegan Temple who is always fast, and round 3 was won by Betas up and comer Cody Barnes. Cody is still learning the Enduro ropes, but showed he is figuring it out by winning Round 3 in LA. Leading the Points though is Liam Draper who is still looking for his first win of 2019, and that is only a matter of time before that happens.
Women’s Elite Class has been dominated by Mackenzie Tricker so far this season, winning all 3 Rounds. It hasn’t came easy for her though, country-mate Tayla Jones has been pressing her at each round and just came up short at all 3. You can bet the defending Women’s Elite Champion will be pushing to take a win at Round 4 at the Cherokee.
