Round 6 - AMA National Enduro Championship - August 25, 2019

WELLSTON, Ohio – The 2019 AMA National Enduro Series made its way to Wellington, Ohio on Sunday for Round 6 of the 10-race championship. It was once again Tely Energy Racing/KTM’s Grant Baylor who dominated the day as he swept all six tests to claim his second-consecutive victory in the series. His teammate, Steward Baylor Jr., maintained a solid pace all day to claim the runner-up finish and put KTM on the top two steps of the overall podium once again.

Grant rode a nearly-flawless race, besting his competition in each of the day’s six tests to finish a minute and half over his brother, Steward, in the overall running. Steward, the current points leader, put forth a great run to finish second in five of the tests and third in one test. With four rounds remaining, he looks to maintain his consistency and secure a fourth-career AMA National Enduro Championship this season.

Steward Baylor: “I felt like I rode great all day from start to finish with only one crash in test four, but I just couldn’t run the pace that Grant was running today. The points look great heading into the final four rounds, so I just need to stay smart and healthy.”
