PARK HILLS, Mo. – Tely Energy Racing/KTM’s Steward Baylor Jr. extended his points lead on Sunday with his third victory of the season at Round 7 of the 2019 AMA National Enduro Series in Park Hills, Missouri. His teammate and biggest competitor, Grant Baylor, finished in the runner-up position after the duo flip-flopped test wins throughout the day.

It was Grant who came out swinging in the first two tests, barely edging out Steward in the opening section. In the third test, Steward bounced back and claimed the win by four seconds, while Grant was able to make up time with a win in the fourth test. It all came down to the final two tests, where the Baylor brothers went head-to-head for the Round 7 win. Steward was able to put all the pieces together to bring home the final two test-wins, along with the overall victory, where he now sits 36 points ahead in the championship standings.

Steward Baylor:“It was a lot of fun battling with Grant today. I had a little bit of a slower start to the day but I was able to get into my groove and finish strong to take the overall win and extend my points lead, so it was a good day.”

Grant finished only 15 seconds behind for second-overall, where he continues to hold second-place in the overall championship standings.

Grant Baylor:“Gnarly conditions in Missouri today with a bunch of rain in the beginning of the race, which made it very slick and sketchy on the rocky trails. I’m happy to come away with a second place after a tight battle all day with Steward!”
