Obermeyer Suzuki Race Report

The 2015 racing season is officially underway! The boys in Yellow made their way to Sumter, South Carolina to compete in round 1 of the AMA National Enduro series aboard their Suzuki RM-Z250’s.

On this beautiful with warm temperatures and clear sky’s, the roster of talent read like a who’s, who in off-road racing.

The race would be a first for Cole Kirchoff having his rookie ride along side his team mate Jake Froman. Off the start of test 1 Jake was ready to go and rode smart during the

10 mile test to finish 5th. Cole spent test one getting acclimated to the South Carolina single track, which was a short order, as the sand was to his liking finishing 2nd in 250A for that test.

Cole rode well all day, winning 2 of the 6 test on the day and was poised for the win until test 6 when he made a few mistakes. He was able recover and finish a strong 2nd place on the day.

Jake who is know as Mr. Smooth, rode that way all day, test 2 had it’s share of challenges for Jake, but he rallied back and finished 2nd in test 4 and 3rd in test 5. The AA-Expert class is a very

strong and deep class, Jakes performance was good enough to earn him a 5th place on the day and an overall result of 21st.

The boys will be heading back to South Carolina on March 1st to compete in round 2.
