WHO INFLUENCED COMPETITION:
My parents always had me involved with different sports and competitive activities all of the time. I really enjoyed pushing myself to get better at anything I did and they are for sure the ones that made me so willful to win now.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF RACING YOU’VE TRIED:
I have tried BMX racing that didn’t last very long, I won my first race and was over the pedaling.. I liked jumping! I I grew up racing poker runs, local harescrambles and endures and just progressed as I got older. I have raced only two Motocross races ever my first being on a Gas Gas in 250 C and my second being on my factory KTM in the 250 A at a Loretta Lynn Qualifier. I have done a couple Extreme Offroad Events including Red Bull Last Man Standing, a couple World Enduro Rounds, and the International Six Days Enduro 5 times.
DID YOU HAVE AN EARLY ROLE MODEL:
I would say Shawn Palmer and Randy Hawkins.
SOMEONE YOU ADMIRE NOW -- ANY SPORT:
All of our local friends that have been around my family and myself as I grew up that still enjoy and love racing today. It is really awesome to be able to call up a bunch of guys any day of the week and ask them if they want to go ride and they will be pumped and ready to go!
HIGHLIGHTS OF RACING CAREER UP TO 2010:
My main highlights would be having 3 National Enduro Championship Titles, 2 ISDE Gold Medals with podium finishes at both of those events with the one in 2006 taking First Place in the Junior Trophy Team Category Overall.
FAVORITE COURSE AND WHY:
Well, it kind of changes it seems from year to year. Last year it was in Marquette, MI, but this year I am really excited and know I am going to have a blast at the opening round in Sumter.
RACING GOALS?
My current goals are to go for a record breaking # of National Titles, to better my results in other Offroad Series such as the GNCC’s, and continue to put forth a great effort for Team USA at the ISDE. I hope to be the best rider that I can be and just to make the most out of this special opportunity I have to race and promote motorcycles.
