BORN: 6/18/1988
HOMETOWN: Gainesville, GA
WHO TAUGHT YOU TO RIDE:
My dad
HOW OLD WERE YOU:
10
FIRST BIKE:
Honda XR100
FIRST COMPETITION:
Little Brown Jug Junior Enduro
RESULTS:
I think around 6th. I got stuck in a shallow mud puddle somehow.
WHO INFLUENCED COMPETITION:
My parents have always let me compete in all types of sports. I ended up playing baseball at the University of Georgia and then some as a minor league baseball player and that kept my competitive spirit going while I was on a hiatus from racing.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF RACING YOU’VE TRIED:
I pretty much stick to what I know. I have never raced motocross and most likely won’t. I love enduros and harescrambles. I would love to try an extreme enduro and I enjoy the Perry Mountain 24 race at night.
DID YOU HAVE AN EARLY ROLE MODEL:
Randy Hawkins and Michael Lafferty were the ones I loved to watch growing up. I actually rode on the same row as Randy this past year at the Wyoming National and had a great time.
SOMEONE YOU ADMIRE NOW -- ANY SPORT:
Front line rotation Major League Baseball Pitchers. The precision, talent, and skill they have is mind boggling. I also admire anyone who puts on a importance on school as well as racing such as Nick Fahringer.
HIGHLIGHTS OF RACING CAREER UP TO 2012:
Finishing 15th overall in the National Enduro Series is by far my proudest accomplishment racing. I was also happy to win Overall A in SE&TRA in my first year back after baseball.
FAVORITE COURSE AND WHY:
Maplesville, Alabama. It has every type of terrain and soil possible. I would live there if I could.
RACING GOALS?
I want to have a good time in 2012 like I did in 2011. I would like to be competitive in the pro class and improve on my best overall finish of 12th if possible.
LIST SPONSORS:
Proline Motorsports, Maxxis, Moose Racing, and Enduro Engineering.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS. INCLUDE EDUCATIONAL GOALS, AND ANYTHING ELSE IMPORTANT TO YOU:
I would like to thank my family the most. They are who got me into racing and they are who make everything to do with racing possible. I am also going to be attending dental school in August at the Medical College of Georgia so I am very excited to start that and eventually become a dentist so I can support my racing passion myself in the future. I am also proud to have graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Biology.

Alex is an outstanding athlete. I remember back in 2005 myself and Kenny King talked a guy by the name of Mike Melton into racing the SETRA series. Bo Bobbit gave mike a 2004 KTM 250 and off we went. Alex put it on Mike a few times and all Mike could say was "man, that kid is awesome" Anyway, what a great guy to have in the game. Good luck Alex with your racing and Dental school.
